Steps for making blue snowflake topping

Steps for making blue snowflake topping

1. Hemispherical

We can start directly from the cuttings seedlings. Generally, when the cuttings seedlings grow five to six leaves, retain two to three leaves for topping and pinching. Generally about a week after pinching and topping, new buds can grow from the leaf axils. When the branches from the new buds grow to four or five leaves, you can top the branches with two to four leaves respectively. Repeat this process until it grows into a plump hemispherical shape. This method starts from the base and can form a plump hemispherical flower shape.

2. Lollipop type

The so-called lollipop type is to let a main branch grow first, and after it grows to 30 to 50 cm, it will be toppled in the way just mentioned. Keep the three buds on the top and grow three side branches respectively. Repeatedly prune these three side branches to promote the growth of side branches, and finally form a flower shape with a spherical lollipop shape on the upper part.

When using this treatment method, in addition to topping the upper part, all buds on the lollipop-shaped stick below the branching point must be promptly removed to prevent damage to the flower shape. Also, its branches do not grow thicker very quickly, so when making it into a lollipop shape, you can set up a support to help its trunk stand upright. This is the topping method.
