Amaranth is a vegetable belonging to the Amaranthaceae family and the genus Amaranth. It is also called green fragrant amaranth, cold vegetable, Han vegetable, red amaranth, corn vegetable, red vegetable, water chestnut, and Qiancai Valley. It matures and is on the market in July-September every year. It is mainly grown in China, India, Southeast Asia and other places.

What does Amaranth look like?

Amaranth is about 80-150 cm tall, with a thick stem that is green or red in color, oval or diamond-shaped oval leaves, and spherical flower clusters.

How to cook amaranth

There are many ways to eat amaranth, such as cold amaranth, refreshing amaranth, shredded chicken amaranth, stir-fried amaranth, stir-fried amaranth with bacon, and amaranth stewed with steak, etc.

After the meat changes color, add the amaranth. Then add light soy sauce and dark soy sauce to thicken the sauce and it is ready to eat.
