How long does it take for cherry cuttings to take root? Rooting method of cutting propagation

Cherry cutting rooting time

The recommended time for cherry cuttings is around spring, when the climate is relatively suitable for cherry branches to take root, especially after cuttings, the rooting speed will become faster. At the same time, we should also be careful not to do cuttings too early, and try to choose branches with more vigorous growth. Generally, roots will take root about 20 days after cuttings.

Cherry cutting rooting method

When grafting cherries, you need to choose healthy cherry branches. At the same time, the length of each branch should be controlled at about 20 cm. After cutting the branches, you can graft them into moist soil, or you can soak the cherry branches in rooting liquid, so that the chance of rooting will be higher.

Cherry cutting method

1. Processing cuttings

When grafting cherries, it is recommended to cut branches from a sturdy cherry tree, and finally select 1-2 branches, and make sure there are buds on the branches. Cut about 10 cm, it does not need to be too long, and remove all the leaves on it to reduce water evaporation. After that, you can start grafting.

2. Insert the seeds into the soil

When cutting, you must control the depth, 3-4 cm deep into the soil, then gently press the soil around it, do not let the branches tilt, then spray water appropriately to make the soil moist, and it will grow quickly.
