Cultivation methods and precautions of purple moon

Cultivation methods and precautions of purple moon

1. Soil

It is recommended to use a nutritious, breathable mixture of leaf mold as the loam in the flowerpot. Before planting, you can mix compound fertilizer into the soil to ensure that the loam has sufficient nutrients.

2. Lighting

The growing environment it prefers must have sufficient sunlight. When there is sufficient sunlight, the leaves will turn from green to purple. However, the hot summer is its dormant period, so proper shading is still required in the summer.

3. Temperature

The most favorable temperature for its growth is 15℃-28℃. The growth temperature in winter should not be lower than 10℃, otherwise it will cause the leaves of the plant to change color, and in severe cases, lead to the death of the plant.

4. Watering

It does not need too much water. Spring and autumn are its growing seasons. You can give it more water at this time. If the water supply is not enough at this time, it may cause the leaves to turn yellow and wither. Also control the amount of watering in summer. If the soil is too wet, it will affect the development of the plants.

5. Fertilization

You can fertilize it 1-2 times a month. If it is a plant that has been cultivated for many years, you need to fertilize it once every 1-2 weeks.

6. Notes

Purple Moon Plant is very sensitive to water. It cannot be too wet or too dry. Excessive humidity may cause the leaves of the plant to change color, and too much drought will inhibit the development of the plant.
