Millet planting spacing

Generally, when planting millet, the planting spacing should be about 35 to 40 cm , and the plant spacing should be about 3.5 to 4 cm . However, due to different planting areas and varieties, there will be differences in the plant-row spacing. Among them, the planting spacing of small fragrant rice millet should be larger, with the maximum row spacing being about 75 to 95 cm , and the small row spacing being about 25 cm .

Millet yield per mu

The general millet yield is about 300 to 400 kilograms, and the rice yield is basically 70~75%, but the yield will vary depending on the variety or the location of planting.

The recently emerged Dan Gu No. 2 black millet is more drought-resistant and water-saving than ordinary grains. It is also a higher-yielding grain. Choosing a good planting area will also increase millet yields.

When planting, it is best to choose a relatively dry, easily drained, loose and fertile sandy soil. The millet yield will be better, and many methods have been developed to increase grain yields.

Millet harvest time

Rice can be divided into three types: early rice, middle rice and late rice. The harvest time of early rice is mid-to-late July every year. The so-called middle rice, which is what we usually call single-season rice, is usually harvested in mid-September every year, and late rice needs to be harvested in mid-to-late October every year.
