What is the suitable temperature for pepper planting? Requirements for suitable growth temperature

Temperature requirements for pepper cultivation

The temperature requirements for pepper planting and growth are relatively strict. The suitable temperature for pepper seeds to germinate is 23-30℃ . They cannot germinate below 15℃ . Therefore, the temperature needs to be kept at around 25℃ when planting peppers. This will ensure that the pepper seeds will germinate smoothly.

Suitable growth temperature for peppers

Peppers like warmth and sunshine, are afraid of cold and cannot tolerate frost or extreme heat. Peppers can grow in the range of 15~30℃, and the most suitable temperature range for pepper growth is 23-28℃.

During the growth and development period of peppers, the temperature difference between day and night should be controlled within 10 degrees. If it is lower than 15 degrees or higher than 35 degrees, the plants will grow slowly and develop poorly. In addition to ensuring the temperature, sufficient sunshine is also required during the flowering and fruiting period of peppers. Generally, 10-12 hours of sunshine per day can meet the growth requirements of peppers and promote development and fruit setting.

Pepper planting time

Under natural conditions, peppers are best planted from April to June, when the climate is mild and the temperature is stable above 15°C, and the temperature and humidity are very suitable for pepper seed germination. Usually, the temperature difference between day and night is also conducive to the growth and development of peppers. The growth cycle of peppers is 60-90 days, so we can usually see a large number of peppers on the market in summer and autumn.
