Adzuki bean germination environment

Adzuki beans prefer a warm growing environment and have good adaptability to the climate. They are widely planted in temperate and tropical zones. When growing, the average day and night temperature needs to be kept between 20-24 degrees, which is more conducive to germination. Low temperature environments should be avoided during maintenance.

Adzuki bean germination process

Before planting adzuki beans, you must first select the seeds. Be sure to choose plump and shiny ones, and remove the shriveled and insect-infested ones. Then prepare a container of suitable size, and cover it with paper. Wet it with water, place the seeds evenly on the paper, and pour water into it to cover the bottom of the adzuki beans. It will germinate in about 4 days.

Direct planting of adzuki bean seeds

The skin of red beans is relatively hard, so they can germinate if planted directly, but the germination rate will be relatively low and the germination speed will be very slow.

Adzuki bean sprouts in the soil

There are generally two ways to plant adzuki beans. One is to sow the seeds directly in the soil, and the other is to cultivate the seeds in a seedbed and transplant them when they grow to 10 cm.

Adzuki bean seed germination method

If you want adzuki beans to germinate quickly, you need to select high-quality seeds with a high germination rate, full and mature seeds when planting. Remove the shriveled or infested beans, soak them in clean water for about 16 to 14 hours, and then soak them in warm water to kill the bacteria on the surface. They will germinate about a week after planting.

Adzuki bean sprout planting

When planting adzuki beans, you need to use plump and healthy seeds and soak them. Then prepare a container and cover it with paper towels. Place the seeds on top and water them every 5 or 6 hours. They will germinate in about 3 days. When they grow to one inch, sprinkle them in the box. After a day, the bean sprouts will stand upright on their own.
