300,000 succulent plants were flooded, and 2 million yuan was really wasted. Can the succulent plants be saved?

Lithops is also called buttocks flower. Although it is small, the market price ranges from 3 to 20 yuan. Not only the supply greenhouse was flooded, but also the two mother greenhouses were flooded. This is really a huge loss~

The originally chubby Lithops became wrinkled overnight. No matter how ugly it is, it’s better to save every one!

Don’t think that the northern part of China was hit hardest by the heavy rain this year. In July, Sichuan had several consecutive rains. When my friend @我的是瘦子 ran to his succulent greenhouse and saw it, he felt very disappointed...

The succulents outside have been soaked by water and are beyond saving. I hope that the succulents in the greenhouse still have a glimmer of hope, but when I look at the entrance of the greenhouse, it really doesn’t look good.

After much difficulty, we got into the greenhouse, but the succulents in the greenhouse were not much better than those soaking outside, and the situation was not optimistic. This was really terrible...

Don’t think that only outdoor greenhouses will be flooded. Flower lovers’ succulents can also take a bath directly at home!

Seeing these succulents flooded by water, Huahua felt really bad. Today, I won’t talk about anything else, I will just tell you how to “revive” succulents after being flooded. This trick can be used whether you encounter heavy rain or too much water!

What to do with succulents after soaking in water

Huahua mentioned before that succulents can be grown hydroponically, so they will not die if soaked in water for a while. They can slowly get used to aquatic life. However, if the flower pot is always placed on the ground or other platforms and the bottom is not breathable, then it will be troublesome and the succulent will easily become boiled.

1. Place the flower pot on the shelf

The simplest and most direct method is to place the flower pot on a hollow shelf so that the bottom of the flower pot can breathe, and placing it in a high place will provide better ventilation.

2. Place the flower pot on the sand

A more natural and effective method is to place the flower pot on coarse sand. This simulates natural drainage and helps the succulents adapt faster.

3. Turn on a small fan to speed up ventilation

Place the succulents on a windowsill or other high table, put toilet paper under the bottom of the pot, and blow it with a small fan to enhance ventilation.

4. Directly switch to hydroponics

Since succulents can be grown hydroponically and have been soaked in water, you might as well just switch to hydroponics. Just carefully dig out the succulents, rinse the roots with water, and place them in a transparent yogurt bottle with a small mouth. You don't need too much water, and the water vapor in the bottle can keep them alive.

5. Remove the pot and dry the roots, then replant

Dig out the succulents, trim the roots, leaving only the main root system, soak them in a solution of carbendazim for 15-20 minutes, then place them in a cool and ventilated place for 2-3 days, and replant them after they are dry. Please note that the original soil must be exposed to the sun for sterilization before use!
