Lithops cultivation methods and precautions

Lithops are not particularly easy to grow. They require a lot of water and have poor cold resistance. They are very easy to be frostbitten. In severe cases, the leaf flesh may even rot.

How to grow Lithops

1. Temperature

Lithops are suitable for growing in a warm environment. The temperature of the maintenance environment needs to be controlled at 15-25 degrees, and then keep ventilated. If the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, temperature control must be carried out.

2. Watering

When watering lithops, be sure to water them in moderation. Only during the growing season does it need more water. In summer and winter, lithops are in a dormant period, so the number of waterings should be reduced.

3. Lighting

Lithops will grow better in places with sufficient light, and the colors will be brighter. It needs shade in the summer. In the summer, it should be kept in a semi-shaded environment to ensure the beautiful leaf color.

4. Fertilization

During the growth period of lithops, sufficient fertilizer is needed. Only with sufficient fertilizer can lithops grow better. It needs to be fertilized once every half a month, and thin liquid fertilizer should be applied to the soil.

During the maintenance of Lithops, you need to pay attention to its maintenance during the molting period. Once Lithops begins to molt, you need to stop watering immediately, which will help speed up the molting process. In addition, a lot of light is also needed.
