The difference between sea tiger orchid and aloe arborescens

The difference between sea tiger orchid and aloe arborescens

Difference 1: Leaves

The leaves of the sea tiger orchid are long triangles, and the length of the leaves is not very long, only about ten centimeters. The edges of the leaves are neatly arranged with sharp thorns.

The leaves of arborescens are very long, about 30 cm, and the width of the leaves is about the same as that of the sea tiger orchid. There are thorns on the edges of the leaves, but they are not as sharp as those of the sea tiger orchid.

Difference 2: The height of the entire plant

The height of the whole plant of Aloe vera is relatively high, about 50 cm to 100 cm.

The height of the entire plant of arborescent aloe is 1 to 2 meters, and its shape is very similar to a tree.

Difference 3: Growth environment

There are two key points for the suitable growth environment of Haihulan:

Prefers warm and ventilated environment. Therefore, it can be grown outdoors in spring and summer, and it is best to bring it back indoors in winter. The temperature should be kept constant, because its cold resistance is average, and frost damage will occur if the temperature is too low. Ventilation is also essential, and the soil for planting sea tiger orchid must be breathable. Otherwise, during the rainy season or in humid weather, if ventilation is not done well, its roots and leaves will inevitably be affected to a certain extent, and in severe cases, they will rot to death.

Like sunshine. Sunlight is essential for the growth of Aloe Vera, but please note: whether the sunlight is too strong or too little, the growth of Aloe Vera will inevitably be harmed by a series of hazards, and short and weak plants is one of them.

Compared with the growth environment of Aloe vera, the growth environment of Aloe arborescens does not have too many requirements. Because it is resistant to drought and cold. However, one thing about arborescent aloe is that it is not tolerant of moist soil, which is not much different from Aloe vera.

Difference 4: Purpose

The purpose of Aloe vera is to be used as an ornamental plant.

Aloe arborescens has many uses: as medicine, as food, and can also be used to make women's skin care products.
