How to grow succulent jade plants

1. Soil

Jade plant, like most succulents, prefers soil with strong air permeability, which can easily damage its fragile root system. If it is watered too much, it will cause too much water to accumulate in the soil and the jade plant will rot.

2. Lighting

Jade plant has a high demand for light and is suitable for growing in an environment with sufficient light. When there is sufficient light, the leaves can grow thick and green. During the high temperatures in summer, attention should be paid to shading.

3. Watering

Jade plant does not like a too humid environment, so you don’t need to water it too often. In spring and autumn, water it about once every 10 days, and reduce the number of waterings in winter.

4. Fertilization

When changing the soil for the jade tree, you need to add some base fertilizer to the bottom of the pot, such as bone meal and various cake fertilizers. Then during the growth period of the jade tree, you can apply thin fertilizer 2-3 times every 1 month.
