1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: When raising pitcher plants, use loose and relatively fertile soil. For home breeding, you can prepare and use sphagnum moss, peat, charcoal and fir bark chips.

2. Temperature: The maintenance environment is best controlled at around 25-30℃. When the temperature rises in summer, you can cool it down by spraying water or moving the plant. The temperature in winter cannot be lower than 16℃ to avoid frostbite.

3. Light: It does not like sunlight. It is best to provide it with a semi-shaded environment when raising it, and it should avoid direct sunlight. Especially in midsummer, it must be shaded, otherwise its leaves will be burned.

4. Water: When caring for it, you can water the soil more often, or you can use the pot immersion method to replenish water. Do not let it grow in a water-deficient environment. There must also be a sufficiently high humidity, and the breeding environment cannot be too dry. Water needs to be sprayed frequently to increase the humidity.

2. Is it suitable for domestic breeding?

You can grow pitcher plants at home, but they are not suitable for indoors. On the one hand, it is because it has an odor after flowering, and on the other hand, its juice can be harmful to the human body. It can be grown outdoors or on a balcony to avoid being touched by children at home.
