How to plant lilac seedlings

How to plant lilac seedlings

1. Planting time

The lilac tree is highly ornamental and its flowers are delicious and fragrant when they bloom, so it is very popular. Its planting time is usually between April and May in spring, when the temperature is suitable and the environment is comfortable, which is more conducive to survival. In addition, you should also pay attention to the planting site and choose a place with sufficient light so that it will grow more vigorously and be more conducive to flowering.

2. Planting Method

1. Site selection and land preparation: Choose a place with deep, fertile and good drainage for planting. Sandy loam is best. Before planting, the soil should be deeply plowed, the soil clods should be broken up, and an appropriate amount of manure should be applied as base fertilizer to supplement nutrients.

2. Make ridges and dig holes: After preparing the land, make ridges that are 1 to 1.3 meters wide and 25 to 30 centimeters high. Then dig a hole with a size of about 60 x 60 x 50 centimeters. Apply about 20 kilograms of fertilizer into the hole and mix it with the soil for later use.

3. Planting and maintenance: Plant the prepared lilac seedlings in the dug holes. In the first two years, you should pay attention to regular weeding, and if you find any missing seedlings, you should promptly replace them with seedlings of the same age. In the later stage, it is necessary to apply fertilizer and water regularly to ensure a moist and nutrient-sufficient growing environment.
