The Flower Language and Legend of Globe Amaranth

The Flower Language and Legend of Globe Amaranth

Flower Language

Globe amaranth represents eternal love, and also symbolizes single-mindedness, indifference to fame and fortune, and longevity. Just like the friends we have known for a lifetime, they are rare and precious.

If flowers can stay red for a thousand days, it is definitely a gift from the Creator. As natural dried flowers, you can use such flowers to make a cup of fragrant and timeless tea, gather a few good friends, and enjoy a rare leisure time in the hustle and bustle of life. With regular and long-term soaking, the bright colors of the Globe amaranth flower buds will seep into the flower language of the tea, turning the tea into a pleasing pink color.

legend

According to legend, there was a pair of lovers who truly loved each other by the sea and lived a simple life. However, one day, a sea snake scattered the fish and overturned the fishing boat, leaving the fishermen with no hope of survival. The brave young man stepped forward and wanted to lead the fishermen to get rid of the monster.

Before leaving, the girl shed tears and was reluctant to leave. Seeing this, the young man took out a mirror from his waist and said to her, "Don't be sad! Look at this mirror. If the mast is white, it means I have won; if the mast turns red and then gradually turns black, it means I----" The girl interrupted him before he finished speaking, "Don't worry about your journey. I will definitely wait for you to come back safely."

The boy left, and the girl sat in front of the mirror every day waiting anxiously. A few days later, a red mast suddenly appeared in the mirror, and gradually the color became darker and darker and turned black. When the girl learned that her lover had lost his life in the battle with the sea snake, she was heartbroken and died of depression soon after. The people in the fishing village buried her by the sea, and the next day big red flowers bloomed on her grave.

When the flower had been in full bloom for 100 days, the young man came back and heard the news of the girl's death. He realized that it was the sea snake's blood that splashed on the mast, causing the girl to misunderstand him. He was filled with remorse and cried sadly on the grave.

The flower that had bloomed for 100 days withered one petal at a time. From then on, people called this unknown flower that blooms for more than a hundred days before withering "hundred-day red", also known as thousand-day red.
