Can rootless succulents be planted directly?

Can rootless succulents be planted directly?

1. Is it possible?

Whether rootless succulents can be planted directly depends on their growth status. If there is no black rot on the succulent plant, or if there is some damage, you can plant it directly and take care of it. However, if the plant has many shriveled leaves and some wounds, it should be dried in the sun. It can only be planted after the wounds are dry, otherwise it will easily cause black rot after planting.

Second, rooting method

1. Use soil to grow roots: prepare a pot of breathable and water-retaining substrate. Put it in the sun for disinfection before use, otherwise the bacteria in the substrate will affect the rooting. After the substrate is prepared, place the rootless succulents on the substrate. After a period of time, it will grow roots and need to be transplanted.

2. Water to induce roots: Find a clean container, fill it with some clean water, place the succulents on the water, change the water every day, and keep the water clean at all times. If there are wounds on succulent plants, they are likely to turn into black rot, so you have to wait for the wounds to heal before rooting them.

3. Notes

The soil used must be loose and breathable. If the substrate is too compacted or not breathable, it will be difficult for it to take root.
