How to cultivate Dendrobium candidum

How to cultivate Dendrobium candidum

1. Appropriate amount of sunlight

It is not adapted to too much sunlight and prefers to grow in a semi-shady environment. If the sunlight is too strong, it will not adapt. When breeding, placement is very critical. The sunlight is stronger in spring and summer, so the degree of shading is greater. In winter, the sunlight intensity is lower, so the degree of shading can be less, and no shading can be required if necessary.

2. Ensure moisture

The frequency of watering is mainly determined by the season and weather. More water is needed in spring and summer, so you can water it once in the morning and evening. In autumn, when the climate turns cooler, water it every 2-3 days. In winter, water it every 3-5 days. Pay attention to ensure the water temperature, and do not make a big difference with the room temperature. Water it thoroughly at one time. It likes a growing environment with plenty of water. You can spray water on the plant appropriately to increase the humidity in the air.

3. Reasonable fertilization

Fertilization is also required to ensure nutrition. Generally, fertilizer can be applied every 7-10 days. However, please note that fertilizer should not be applied during the dormant period, and attention should also be paid to the concentration.

4. Pay attention to the temperature difference

Keep the daytime temperature at 10-15℃ and the nighttime temperature below 10℃. Pay attention to ensure a good temperature difference. Too small a temperature difference will affect flowering and growth.
