1. LeavesThe leaves of Duheng are heart-shaped or kidney-shaped, 3-8 cm long and wide, blunt or rounded at the front, heart-shaped at the base, with lobes on both sides about 1 to 3 cm long and 1.5-3.5 cm wide. The leaf surface is dark green and the back is light green. There are white spots on both sides of the middle veins of the leaves, short hairs on the veins and nearby edges, and the petiole length is about 3-15 cm. There are usually only two leaves of Asarum, which are heart-shaped or ovate-heart-shaped, with a heart-shaped base and a relatively round top, and of varying sizes. 2. FlowersThe flowers of Duheng are dark purple, with pedicels between 1-2 cm in length, perianth in a bell-shaped cylinder, 1-1.5 cm long, 8-10 mm in diameter, with no constriction in the throat, 4-6 mm in diameter of the throat aperture, and an extremely narrow membranous ring less than 1 mm wide, with an inner wall having an obvious lattice mesh. The perianth lobes are erect, ovate, 5-7 mm long, nearly equal in width and length, smooth and without wrinkles, and bloom from April to May. The flowers of Asarum are black-purple, the pedicels are about two to three millimeters long, the tepals are triangular-ovate, and the flowering period is also from April to May. |
