How to grow roses

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: The temperature suitable for its development is between 15 and 25 degrees, and the wintering temperature cannot be lower than ten degrees.

2. Watering: It is drought-tolerant but not waterlogged. You need to control the amount of watering and just water the soil until it is completely moist. If you don’t know how to judge whether the water is enough, you can pinch the soil while watering. If the soil is completely moist but not lumpy, it means it is well watered. The climate is relatively dry in winter, so the soil should be kept slightly moist for a long time.

3. Fertilization: During the growth period, fertilizer is needed every 20 days. Choose compound fertilizer because compound fertilizer has more comprehensive nutrition and can meet all the needs of the plant.

4. Light: It is suitable for growing in a semi-sun and semi-shade environment. Strong sunlight will burn the plant, and insufficient sunlight will cause poor growth of the plant. Therefore, try to use diffuse light as the main source of light. Plants that are maintained outdoors need to be shaded. You can cover them with a sunshade. When the light is too strong, you can lower the sunshade to avoid moving them back and forth.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It can be propagated by sowing. The time for sowing and propagation is generally in spring, because the climate in spring is stable, and the humidity and temperature are more suitable for plant growth. Soak the prepared seeds in advance for 4 hours, then sprinkle them into nutrient-rich cultivation soil, water them thoroughly, and cover them with a film. The purpose of covering the film is to ensure humidity and temperature. They will germinate in about three days, and can be transplanted and planted when they grow three true leaves.

2. Pruning: It grows relatively fast, and some branches and leaves need to be pruned if they are too lush. The purpose of pruning is to concentrate nutrients and avoid unnecessary nutrient consumption. In addition to thinning branches, you also need to trim off dead branches and leaves to avoid affecting the appearance.

3. Problem Diagnosis

1. Pests: Its flowers are very fragrant and are very popular with pests. After flowering, it needs to be sprayed with insecticide once a week to repel insects.

2. Yellowing of branches and leaves: The problem of yellowing branches and leaves may be caused by lack of nutrients. Nutrients need to be increased. In addition to fertilizing the soil, flower fertilizers also need to be used on the branches and leaves.

IV. Other issues

1. Edible: Some varieties are edible and can be made into pastries, scented tea, etc. If used as tea, it can promote skin metabolism, and drinking more can beautify the skin.

2. Toxic: Some varieties are poisonous, while others are non-toxic. Before raising them, you need to understand the variety to avoid accidental ingestion.
