How to grow blue stone lotus in spring

How to grow blue stone lotus in spring

1. Repotting and pruning

Newly planted plants that are one to two years old do not need to be repotted. The repotting here refers to old plants that are more than three years old. When repotting, shake off the soil on the roots and cut off the rotten and dry roots. After disinfecting with disinfectant, plant them in new potting soil. Before planting, add some base fertilizer to the soil to increase the nutrients of the plants.

2. Resume watering

It is completely deprived of water during its dormant period, and watering should be slowly resumed after the spring. When watering, you need to water thoroughly until the soil is completely wet. The water temperature should be as consistent as possible with the room temperature. If the water is too cold, the plants may be easily frozen. Generally speaking, watering once a week is enough. Succulent plants have a good ability to store water, so the amount of watering should be controlled. If the room temperature is too high, you need to spray water around it to keep it moist. If its skin turns white, you can sprinkle some water on the plant.

3. Increase Lighting

It likes sunshine but cannot tolerate strong light. The spring sunshine is not strong, so it can receive sunlight all day. Once it is placed in a fixed position, try not to move it. The sunlight in late spring is strong, so it is enough to expose it to sunlight in the morning and evening. When the sunlight is strong, you should cover it with a sunshade to avoid sunburn.
