The best time to prune your jade tree

The best time to prune your jade tree

1. Pruning time

There is no fixed time for pruning jade plants. It can be done during its growing period. At this time, pruning should be light and not heavy. It can also be done in late autumn, when it will slowly enter a dormant state, which is very beneficial for its wintering. In addition to these two times, you can also prune in early spring. At this time, it has not yet entered the growth period. Appropriate pruning can stimulate the growth and germination of new leaves.

When the temperature rises in summer, it is not possible to prune the jade tree. And when the temperature is low, if it is below 5℃, it is also not possible to prune it.

2. Precautions

1. When pruning, you must choose good weather. Do not prune it in rainy weather. Try to choose sunny weather for pruning. After pruning the jade plant, the wounds of the plant must not be exposed to water, and of course, they must not be exposed to rain, so that the pruning cuts can recover.

2. After pruning, place the jade plant in a place with relatively good ventilation. The place where it recovers should not be too stuffy or too humid. It also needs to be exposed to the sun appropriately, but not too much.
