Green bell pests and control methods

Common pests of Green Bell: snails

Snail, commonly known as buffalo, belongs to the class Gastropoda of the phylum Mollusca. It occurs widely throughout the country, has a diverse diet and causes great harm. Adults and juveniles use their radula to scrape leaves and stems, creating holes or gaps, or even bite off seedlings, resulting in seedling shortages.

Prevention and control methods: To prevent and control snails, attention should be paid to the cleanliness and hygiene in the greenhouse, and dead branches and leaves should be removed in time. Once there are signs of snail activity, they need to be sprayed with pesticides.

It should be noted that many snail sprays are highly toxic and should not be sprayed on the leaves of the Green Bell to prevent damage to the plump pearls.

If you are afraid of the toxicity of pesticides, you can spray them with saturated salt water. When a snail meets salt, it melts.

Common pests of green bell: aphids

Aphids, also known as sticky insects and honey insects, are a type of herbivorous insects. Aphids are among the most destructive pests on Earth, almost as destructive as ants. It is a very harmful pest in plant cultivation.

Aphid infestations of green bells usually occur in spring.

Prevention and control methods: Once found, wipe it off with a soft cloth in time. For chemical control, use 1500 times the concentration of omethoate for spraying. In addition, medicated oil and laundry detergent can also prevent and control aphids. Just add water and spray on the places where aphids are attached.

Common pests of Green Bell: mites

Mites are not actually insects. They like to suck the sap of plants and often appear in hot and dry places. If there are many water-deficient plants in a poorly ventilated greenhouse, it will be a paradise for them.

Prevention and control methods: Once found, remove it with a soft cloth in time. If you want to use chemical control, you need to use 1000 times of trichloronate to kill it. Flower Protector or Damanlin also have very good effects.

When caring for Green Bell, you need to pay more attention to ventilation and keep the leaves well-hydrated to prevent the breeding of mites.
