How to grow red lily

How to grow red lily

1. Temperature guarantee

During the maintenance of red lilies, in order to ensure normal growth and flowering, the temperature must be maintained at 16-24℃. If the temperature is lower than 5℃ or higher than 30℃, the growth will stop. Therefore, pay attention to keeping warm in winter and move it indoors in time. It is best to keep it above 10℃ so that it can grow normally. Pay attention to cooling in summer and spray water around it frequently.

2. Soil requirements

Suitable soil is the basic condition for growth. The soil must be deep, well-drained, humus-rich sandy soil. It can generally grow normally in slightly acidic to neutral soil. Hard clay cannot be used and the pH value must be maintained between 5.5-6.5.

3. Ensure lighting

In order for red lilies to thrive and ensure the quantity and quality of their flowers, they need to be given enough light, especially during the growing season, when they must maintain a good supply of sunlight. In the summer, they should be properly shaded, taking care to block strong light. If you grow potted plants at home, you can place them on a balcony with good lighting.

4. Apply moisture

It hates drought. Not watering for a long time will cause the roots to lack water, which will cause growth problems, so be sure to water it regularly to keep it moist. However, the amount of water must be controlled and water accumulation must not occur, otherwise the roots will rot.
