Magnolia seed planting method

1. Picking seeds

Autumn is the season when white magnolia seeds mature. You can pick the seeds at this time. If you cannot sow them immediately, you can store them in the sand and wait until next spring to plant them. Because the seeds are rich in oil, they cannot be stored over the summer, otherwise the survival rate will be affected.

2. Seed Processing

Remove the outer shell of the seeds, then soak them in water for about two days, using warm water. Then scrub off the outer seed coat, take out the seeds inside, and place them outside to dry.

3. Prepare the soil

There are certain requirements for the soil for planting. It needs to face the sun and be exposed to a certain amount of light. It also needs to have good drainage. Before sowing, the soil must be loosened to ensure that it is loose, which will be conducive to seed germination.

4. Seeding and Seedling Raising

After preparing the soil, sow the seeds to a depth of about 2 cm and cover them with a thin layer of soil. After the seedlings grow out, they should be shaded in time and not exposed to strong sunlight to prevent them from being burned to death.

5. Transplantation and cultivation

Once the seedlings have grown steadily, they can be transplanted. Choose a good transplanting location, dig a pit with a diameter of about 1m and a depth of more than 50cm, fill the bottom with base fertilizer, and then transplant the sapling with the soil ball.
