Clivia cultivation methods and precautions, how to grow Clivia

1. Breeding methods

1. Watering: It has strong drought resistance and does not need to be watered too frequently during maintenance. Check the dryness of the soil before watering. If it is a little damp, you don't need to water it. You can wait until it is completely dry and then water it thoroughly, but be careful not to have excess water and avoid waterlogging.

2. Temperature: It likes a warm environment and cannot withstand high or low temperatures. So be careful in both summer and winter. In summer, you should sprinkle water frequently and ventilate more to cool down. It should be moved indoors in late autumn. The temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise it will stop growing and may even be frostbitten.

3. Light: It prefers partial shade and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Just place it in a place with diffuse light, and make sure it can get three to five hours of sunlight every day. In the summer, you should block out or avoid strong sunlight in time, and avoid overexposure to the sun. In the winter, you can expose the skin to more sunlight throughout the day.

4. Fertilization: Fertilize frequently during the peak growing season, generally once a month. It is best to choose low-concentration liquid fertilizer to avoid root damage. Stop applying fertilizer in summer and winter to avoid fertilizer damage.

2. Precautions

Its flowering period is in winter, specifically from January to February. If flower stalks grow in the summer, they must be cut off in time. Otherwise, not only will the flowers not bloom well, but it will also affect the flowering in winter and will not be conducive to surviving the summer.
