How many days should orchid hard planting material be watered?

How many days should orchid hard planting material be watered?

1. Water every few days

If you want to know how often you should water the hard planting material, you must first know that the hard planting material has a very poor ability to retain water, so the water will disappear quickly. Therefore, you must water it frequently so that there is enough water to maintain its growth.

When the weather is good, you can water the plants every day, or every 2-3 days. If the weather conditions are not very good, you should reduce watering and water it once a week. However, how many days of watering are needed should be determined based on actual conditions. Once you notice that the planting material has dried up, you need to replenish it as soon as possible.

2. Watering method

Be sure to water slowly when watering, and don't pour the water into the flowerpot all at once. In addition, the soil in the pot must be watered thoroughly. That is, when watering, if you find water flowing out from the bottom of the pot, it means that it has been watered thoroughly and you don't need to continue watering. Note that you should not water the plant just because the surface soil is dry. You should wait until the deep substrate is also dry before watering the plant to prevent the roots from rotting.

3. Notes

Many flower lovers cannot control the amount of watering well, and sometimes they cannot control the number of watering well, so there is a high possibility of overwatering. Therefore, during daily cultivation, you should ventilate more and allow the plants to see more light appropriately, but they should not be exposed to strong light. This will effectively prevent the orchid from root rot.
