What fertilizer should be used for passion fruit? How to fertilize passion fruit?

1. Fertilizer

1. Growth period: When passion fruit is in the growth period, nitrogen fertilizer is generally applied to it. Under normal circumstances, you can apply fertilizer about 20 days after planting. Use more high-nitrogen water-soluble fertilizers or urea. It is better to use water-soluble fertilizers. In addition, you can also apply fermented peanut bran water, but it is not recommended to apply compound fertilizer.

2. Flowering and fruiting period: Before it blooms, it needs to be fertilized with potassium fertilizer as the main component, which can greatly improve the quality of flowering. After the flowers wither, you can apply high-potassium compound fertilizer again and spray some potassium dihydrogen phosphate and brassinolide on the leaves.

2. Fertilization method

When fertilizing it, the concentration of the fertilizer should be lower and it should not be too close to its roots, otherwise the heat generated by the fertilizer will burn its roots. Usually, after harvesting the fruit, you need to apply farmyard manure to it, usually about 20 kilograms per plant.

3. Notes

In the later stage of passion fruit growth, potassium fertilizer needs to be applied and the amount of nitrogen fertilizer used should be reduced appropriately. If you still apply a large amount of nitrogen fertilizer, it will not be good for its flowering and fruiting, and will cause the flowers and fruits to fall off. In addition, there is no need to fertilize the plant when it is in the seedling growth period.
