However, the disadvantage is that the harvesting period will be limited, and the quality of the leeks will be affected over time, and they will need to be replanted later.

2. What should I pay attention to when replanting?

1. Prune old roots: Replanting means using old roots for reproduction. The first thing to pay attention to is to prune the old roots. After digging them out, cut off some of the overly long fibrous roots, diseased roots, old roots, and dead roots, and only keep about 5 cm of old roots. This way, the plants will absorb water and nutrients better in the later stages after pruning, thereby sprouting new roots faster, which is beneficial to their growth.

2. Pruning leaves: In addition to pruning the roots, you also need to prune the leaves. Especially for some leaves that are too long, two-thirds of them should be cut off, otherwise a lot of nutrients will be lost after planting, which will affect germination.
