Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Zichi Nianhua

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Zichi Nianhua

1. Insufficient light

Reason: Ziji Nianhua likes light and needs to grow in an environment with relatively sufficient sunlight. If you keep it in a shade or semi-shade place for a long time, its leaves will show signs of yellowing due to lack of light for a long time.

Measures: It needs to be moved to a sunny and relatively warm place for maintenance. Especially during its growing season, it needs full sun. When the light is stronger in summer, pay attention to shading and ventilation.

2. Watering problem

Reason: When watering the Zi Chi Nian Hua, the amount of water must be controlled. Too little watering will not provide enough moisture, causing its leaves to become dry and yellow. If you water too much, the soil in the pot may be too moist, affecting the root breathing, which may also cause yellow leaves.

Measures: If the soil in the pot is relatively dry, it may be due to lack of water. At this time, you need to increase the frequency of watering and make sure to water thoroughly. If you find that the soil in the pot is too moist, it is caused by overwatering. At this time, you need to stop watering immediately, move it to a ventilated place to loosen the soil, speed up the evaporation of water, and prevent root rot. Wait until it's completely dry before watering again.

3. Lack of iron

Cause: If inspection finds no problems with lighting and watering, it may be due to a lack of iron in the soil, which is also one of the reasons why its leaves turn yellow.

Measures: You can consider burying some scrap iron in the potting soil, or applying some high-iron fertilizer to increase the iron content in the soil and improve the yellow leaf symptoms.
