Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of pennywort

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of pennywort

1. Excessive touching

1. Reason: The unique habits of the catnip make it very popular. Many people often touch its leaves when growing it. In fact, excessive touching of the leaves has a great impact on it, and it can easily lead to problems such as poor development and yellowing of leaves.

2. Treatment method: If yellowing occurs, water and fertilizer management should be strengthened. Try to avoid touching the leaves during the recovery period. The leaves will get better after a period of time.

2. Too much watering

1. Reason: Excessive watering may cause waterlogging in the potting soil, and then its roots may not be able to breathe normally, and are prone to rot. Poor absorption of nutrients will cause its leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: Stop watering the plants immediately and loosen the soil on a large scale immediately to ensure ventilation of the environment and accelerate the evaporation of water. If the problem is serious, you can remove the plant from the pot and place it in a cool place to dry. Then put it in a new pot or re-mix the soil. Be careful not to damage the roots of the plant.

3. Temperature discomfort

1. Reason: The pennywort likes a warm living environment. If temperature control measures are not properly taken and the plant is kept in a high temperature (above 30°C) or low temperature (below 10°C) environment for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: It is best to maintain it in an environment of 16℃ to 24℃. When the temperature is high, take cooling measures in time, such as setting up a sunshade net or moving it to an air-conditioned room for maintenance. It should be moved indoors in winter and the temperature should not be lower than 10℃.
