In the process of crawling, they destroy the tender green leaves of the axe-leaf peperomia and produce patches of gray lesions.

Prevention and control methods: Scale insects generally have 1 to 3 generations a year, and a few have 4 to 5 generations. There is often an intermediate period before nymphs transform into adults. During this stage, their appearance is dull, and some even stop feeding. This period occurs around the Waking of Insects every year and from the end of May to the beginning of June. At this time, most nymphs have just hatched, the wax has not yet been secreted on their body surface, and the scale has not yet formed, so they can still be easily killed with medicine.
