What to do if the hydroponic white anthurium does not bloom

What to do if the hydroponic white anthurium does not bloom

1. Unreasonable lighting

The plant Anthurium prefers cool areas, and it will be satisfied with scattered light, with an intensity of 60 percent. If the plant does not have enough light for a long time, it will become weak and it will be detrimental to flowering; if the light intensity is too strong, the leaves will easily turn yellow, hindering its growth and also having a bad effect on flowering.

Solution: You can adjust the light for it so that it is not exposed to sunlight and receives scattered light. In hot seasons, be careful not to expose it to direct sunlight.

2. Inappropriate temperature

It can tolerate high temperatures but not very cold. If it is too cold, it will not flower properly. In order for it to bloom on time, the surrounding area must be kept above 20°C, but not too high. If it is above 35 degrees, it will hinder its growth.

Method: The most suitable conditions are 20-28 degrees, so the temperature must be controlled when growing white anthurium in water.

3. Water quality issues

If grown in water, the culture vessels will easily grow algae, which will not only look bad, but will also consume the oxygen in the water. If the water is not changed frequently, it will be detrimental to its growth and flowering.

Solution: If it is summer, you have to change the water once a week, and in severe winter, change it once every ten days to half a month. When changing the water, you should also wash away the attachments, remove the old and dead roots, and clean the bottle. The water only needs to cover half, or at most two-thirds, of the roots; the rest of the roots can be exposed to the air.

4. Insufficient fertilizer

Generally speaking, it grows quite fast and requires a lot of fertilizer. If you don't fertilize it for a long time, it will not grow healthily and of course it will not bloom.

Method: Every time you change the water, you can add some special nutrient solvent to it. During the budding period, you can sprinkle it with potassium dihydrogen phosphate. About two or three times will be enough.

5. Humidity is not suitable

It needs a high humidity. If it is too dry, it will affect flowering.

Method: In order to prevent the leaves of water-grown calla lilies from withering, you should spray water on the leaves regularly to keep them moist. This can also make the leaves grow more shiny.
