The soil is required to be kept moist but not waterlogged. 7. Weeding During the growth period of the onion, the surrounding weeds should be removed in time to ensure that the onion has sufficient nutrients and fiber. Too many weeds will affect its growth and development. 8. Harvest When the onion leaves begin to turn yellow and fall over, it means it is ripe for harvest.
