Why are the leaves of hyacinth too long to stand upright?

Why are the leaves of hyacinth too long to stand upright?

Plant dehydration

Water loss is not due to insufficient watering, but rather due to long-term exposure to the sun. The plant's own moisture evaporates under the sunlight, leading to water loss, reduced moisture in the leaves, and wilting of the leaves.

Flower stems too long

Sometimes the leaves of a plant fall over not because of improper maintenance, but because it grows too fast. When the flower stem is too long, the bottom of the stem will not be able to support the huge force and will grow to one side. At this time, don't do too much processing, just put a rack in the pot to provide a support point for the growth of the flower stems. Otherwise it will break if the wind blows.

Soil is too wet

The most suitable soil moisture for hyacinth is generally maintained between 60% and 70% . If the soil is too wet, the root respiration will be hindered and nutrients cannot be provided for the growth of leaves and flowers. If it is too low, the above-ground part will obviously wilt. To increase the humidity, you can spray or sprinkle water around the plants appropriately, or you can ventilate frequently to reduce the humidity.

Too much light

Hyacinth is a shade-loving plant and is best grown in semi-shade, receiving 3 to 4 hours of sunlight a day. If placed in the sun all day, the growth of the plant will be stunted or even stop, and the leaves will gradually fall over. Do not move it indoors immediately at this time. Reducing light exposure needs to be a process and should be done gradually, otherwise the plant will easily wither and die.
