What to do if the leaves of Guanyin Lotus droop

What to do if the leaves of Guanyin Lotus droop

1. Caused by excessive humidity

The so-called excessive humidity is nothing more than because we water it without restraint and keep watering it, which will make the soil in the pot too moist and even cause water accumulation, which will damage its roots and tubers, making them very easy to rot, or have already rotted, and naturally the leaves will droop. If you want to solve this problem, you must control watering. In spring and autumn, we can keep the soil in the pot moist, but there should be no water accumulation. Then in winter, we should start to control watering. Then in summer, we should keep the soil in the pot dry, which will be more conducive to its growth.

2. Caused by too low temperature

If you want to grow it, you should know that it likes to grow in warm places. Therefore, the temperature must be controlled well, especially in winter. When the indoor temperature is below 15 degrees, it will stop growing, and the sub-leaves will begin to wither gradually, and then the leaves will droop. If you want to solve the problem, you should water as little as possible in winter and keep the room temperature above 15 degrees.

3. Caused by light

It prefers places with lots of sunlight. If you don’t give it enough sunlight, its leaves will become loose and droop. This shows how important light is to it. Generally, except for the summer when the light is too strong and you need to shade it from the sun, you can let it enjoy the light to its heart's content at other times.

4. Caused by never changing the pot

When raising it, we need to change the pot every 1 to 2 years so that the plant can grow better. If you don't repot it for a long time, the soil can no longer meet its needs, which will cause the plant to grow poorly and its leaves to droop. Therefore, we must repot it appropriately, and when repotting, we must also trim its old roots appropriately, so that it will be more conducive to root growth.
