Reasons why black orchid does not bloom

Reasons why black orchid does not bloom

1. Increase lighting

1. Reason: Light is very important for the growth of Mo Lan. Usually, it needs two or three hours of sunlight a day to grow flower buds. There is one factor that can be used to identify this, that is, if its leaves are very green, it means that there is enough light. If the color of the leaves is darker, then the lighting time is not enough.

2. Solution: Place the plant in the sun for two or three hours every day. Check the standard to see if the light is sufficient. If there is too much light, the leaves will be slightly yellow, and you need to shade it.

2. Adjust the temperature

1. Reason: Temperature is very important for its flowering, especially the temperature difference between day and night is a very important factor in controlling its flowering. Generally, the difference needs to be kept at about ten degrees. The daytime temperature should be between 18 and 21 degrees, while the night temperature should be around 7 to 10 degrees. If the temperature is very high, the flower buds will fall off easily and the leaves will wilt. If the temperature is very low, it will easily develop spots, which will make the growth of flower buds unfavorable. Of course, low temperatures during flowering will also cause dark brown spots on the petals, and the quality of the flowers will also be affected.

2. Solution: The temperature needs to be controlled. When it is high, lower the temperature manually. When it is low, increase the temperature. In addition to the daytime temperature, you should also pay attention to the nighttime temperature to maintain a good temperature difference between day and night.

3. Reduce moisture

1. Reason: If there is too much water, Mo Lan will easily grow too tall and the flower buds will be difficult to grow.

2. Solution: During the maintenance process, do not water it too much. Maintain it reasonably so that its flower buds will be more normal.

4. Increase phosphorus and potassium fertilizers

1. Reason: During the normal growth process, a lot of fertilizers may be applied, and the plants grow very fast but do not bloom. This is mainly because the type of fertilizer applied is inappropriate.

2. Solution: In addition to nitrogen fertilizer, you should also apply some potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer so that the plant can bloom normally.
