Why does corn stone lose its leaves when old?

Why does corn stone lose its leaves when old?

1. Natural shedding

The falling of its leaves may be a normal phenomenon caused by metabolism. The leaves will fall off every once in a while, but don't worry, because new leaves will grow later. Just need to maintain and manage it normally. In addition, be careful not to touch the leaves during routine maintenance. It is very fragile and the leaves can break easily if touched, so it is best placed in a place where it is not easily touched.

2. Root Problems

If the plant is watered improperly or concentrated fertilizer is applied during maintenance, it will harm the root system, causing root rot and the leaves to fall off. If you find this situation, you must deal with it in time, cut off the rotten roots and replant. In the later stage, attention should be paid to maintenance methods, and excessive watering and water accumulation are strictly prohibited. When applying fertilizer, it is necessary to use diluted fertilizer solution, which can be better absorbed and is beneficial to growth.

3. Too little light

It likes light and should be placed in a light place during maintenance. Only with sufficient light will the leaves be brighter and the plant will grow more vigorously. If the plant is kept in a light-proof environment for a long time, the leaves will not be able to carry out photosynthesis better, which will lead to leaf shedding. This problem can be alleviated by timely supplementary light.
