What to do if the lucky bamboo stalks turn yellow

What to do if the lucky bamboo stalks turn yellow

1. Transfer location

Reason: Although lucky bamboo likes sunlight, it should not be placed in the sun for a long time during cultivation. If the light is too strong, the plant will become dehydrated, and the bamboo poles will turn yellow.

Solution: It is recommended to move the plant to a cooler location immediately and provide it with a growth environment with scattered light. After the plant adapts for a period of time, the bamboo pole will turn green again.

2. Reasonable water change

Reason: If you always forget to change the water when growing it in water, there will be a lot of bacteria and impurities in the water, which will harm the growth of the plant. At the beginning, the bamboo pole will turn yellow, and in severe cases, the whole plant may die.

Solution: Replace the water for the plants with clean water. Don’t wait until the water becomes turbid before watering. Change it about once a month. If its roots are rotten, you need to trim the roots and disinfect them before changing the water.

3. Supplement nutrients

Reason: Regardless of whether it is hydroponics or soil culture, if the plant is not fertilized for a long time, its growth condition will deteriorate and the stems will turn yellow.

Solution: Fertilizer should be added in time. When growing in soil, fertilizer should be applied once every half a month during its growth period. When growing in hydroponics, a few drops of nutrient solution can be added when changing the water.
