What to do if the leaves of Spathiphyllum wilt

What to do if the leaves of Spathiphyllum wilt

1. Waiting for adaptation

If the Spathiphyllum has just been bought or has just been exposed to a new environment, it is normal for it to wilt. Conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light have changed, and it has not adapted well to the new environment. There is no need to worry about this situation. Just keep it there, take good care of it and wait for it to adapt. It will recover after a while.

2. Increase humidity

Spathiphyllum requires higher humidity during its growth. If the surrounding environment is too dry, the leaves will become dry and naturally shrink. Especially in summer, it is necessary to spray water on the plants in time with a small spray bottle. This can replenish moisture to prevent shrinkage and make the leaves shiny and bright.

3. Adjust the lighting

Improper lighting can also cause the leaves to show signs of wilting. Too weak light makes it difficult to synthesize nutrients, while too strong light can cause the leaves to be burned and irritated, which can also cause the leaves to wilt. You need to adjust the light and place it in a soft, bright, diffuse light environment, and the leaves will recover on their own.

4. Maintain temperature

Spathiphyllum is suitable for growing in a warm environment. When the temperature is not suitable, exceeding 35 degrees Celsius in summer or below 5 degrees Celsius in winter, the leaves will wilt. Adjust the temperature according to the situation, it is best to control it at around 20-25 degrees Celsius.
