Reasons why the leaves of Spathiphyllum droop

Reasons why the leaves of Spathiphyllum droop

1. Strong light exposure

Reason: Spathiphyllum prefers a growing environment with diffuse light. It can grow well when the sunlight is good. However, if it is exposed to strong sunlight in the summer, it will cause sunburn to the plant and severe water shortage in the leaves, causing them to wilt and droop.

Measures: When you find that the leaves are drooping due to sunburn, you can move them to a place with good diffuse light for maintenance so that they are exposed to soft diffuse light. This way, they will recover on their own after a period of time. Then pay attention to the lighting and provide correct lighting conditions.

2. Low humidity

Reason: It likes a high-humidity growing environment and needs to maintain humidity above 60%. If the humidity in the air is low, the leaves will become dry and wilted.

Measures: Spraying water mist on the leaves every day in summer can increase the humidity of the air, promote the leaves to absorb water, and the leaves will recover.

3. Improper moisture

Reason: Spathiphyllum needs a certain amount of water to grow. If it lacks water for a long time, the plant will not grow vigorously and its leaves will droop. Too much watering can also have an impact, causing a large amount of water to accumulate, which can lead to root rot and drooping leaves.

Measures: Apply water correctly, replenish water in time if there is a lack of water, and promote evaporation if there is too much water.
