Diseases of pear trees and their prevention and treatment

Pear tree diseases: rot

The disease mainly harms the bark of the main branches and side branches of the pear tree, causing rot. There are two types of symptoms: ulcer type and branch dieback type. In severe cases, a large number of dead branches will occur, and even death may occur. The prevention and treatment methods are as follows:

1. Strengthen management, control the amount of fruit set, improve the disease resistance of trees, and breed disease-resistant varieties;

2. Scrape off the scars on the pear trees, cut off and burn the diseased branches in time to reduce the source of infection;

3. Before the pear trees sprout, you can spray 5-degree Baume lime sulfur mixture, or 100 times 40% thiram arsenic wettable powder and other chemical agents for prevention and control.

Pear tree diseases: black spot

The disease mainly harms fruits, leaves and new shoots, causing leaf spots and fruit drop. Specific prevention and control methods are as follows:

1. Strengthen management, increase the application of organic fertilizer, and pay attention to avoid excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer.

2. Combine it with winter pruning, remove dead branches, fallen leaves and diseased fruits and bury them deep.

3. Before germination, you can spray the sick pear trees with a mixture of 0.3% sodium pentachlorophenol and 5Be lime sulfur. After the pear trees have shed their flowers, you can spray them with 1000 times diluted 50% mancozeb, 600 to 800 times diluted thiophanate-methyl wettable powder, or 200 times lime-based Bordeaux mixture. Note that this should not be applied more than three times a year. In addition, these agents are suitable for alternating use with Bordeaux mixture, which can achieve the goal of improving effects while reducing costs.
