Utensils

We should choose utensils according to size. We can choose homemade or purchased ones. It is best if it is elegant and beautiful, and it would be even better if it can complement the indoor environment.

Root washing

1. We can water it two or three days in advance to make the soil loose, so that it will be easier to take out.

2. Dig it out, shake it gently, and then pat it gently until all the soil on it falls off and all its roots come out.

3. Then we put it in clean water for about fifteen to twenty minutes, wash it gently with your hands, and change the water several times until there is no soil at the bottom.

4. Some roots are old and complex, and a lot of soil is hidden inside the roots, so we have to use bamboo sticks or wooden sticks to dig out the soil. There must not be any soil left, this is the key point of hydroponics, so we cannot miss this point.

Root Pruning

If it has been growing for a long time, its roots will be more developed. Generally speaking, we need to trim off its old and diseased roots appropriately. As for yellow leaves and old leaves, they also need to be cut off.

After pruning, we need to wash it again with clean water so that the remaining root hairs will be removed and the container will not be contaminated.

The amount of water also needs to be paid attention to. Generally speaking, we can just add water into it, but not too much water. As long as one-third of the roots are exposed, it's fine.

temperature

The temperature it likes is between five and thirty degrees, so we have to keep it in this environment so that it will be healthier.

Light

We can't let it shine directly in the sun, just give it some scattered light.

Water changes

Change it every five to ten days in spring and autumn, every five days in summer, and every ten to fifteen days in winter. You can add nutrient solution when changing the water.
