Medicinal effects of jasmine

The flowers, leaves and branches of Forsythia can be used as medicine. The flowers, leaves and branches contain syringoside and jasmine glycoside, which have the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, and promoting diuresis and reducing swelling.

When you have a headache and fever, you can take 15 grams of forsythia, decoct it in water and drink it, which can reduce fever and relieve pain.

When you have burning pain when urinating or defecating, you can also take 15 grams of forsythia and 15 grams of plantain and decoct them together. It has the effect of clearing heat and promoting diuresis.

To treat swelling, poison and malignant ulcers: Take 6-8 grams of Forsythia suspensa leaves, dry them in the shade and grind them into powder. Take it with yellow wine. You will recover when you sweat.

For treating injuries and bleeding from trauma: take appropriate amount of young leaves of Forsythia suspensa, mash them and apply to the affected area.

To treat irregular menstruation: take 30 grams of Forsythia root and 15 grams of Rhizoma Cyperi root, stew them with pork and drink.
