The Legend of Yucca

When talking about yucca, we have to mention the yucca moth. The yucca moth and yucca have a strange symbiotic relationship. There are actually many such relationships in nature, and this involves the pollination of flowers. Many flowers rely on insects for pollination, such as bees and butterflies. However, these insects are more philanthropic when it comes to pollinating flowers. They will choose many plants to pollinate.

However, there are exceptions in nature. Some insects will only pollinate one type of flower, and this flower can only rely on this insect for pollination. The two are inseparable, like the yucca and the yucca moth.

Yucca and yucca moth have a symbiotic relationship, and they have always been like this, relying on each other and never leaving each other. At sunset, the yucca flowers will open and emit fragrance. At this time, the yucca moth will come, pollinate it, and then lay its eggs in the ovary of the yucca, and the yucca will raise its larvae. Later, the seeds of the yucca gradually matured, and the larvae of the yucca moth gradually grew up. They would bite through the fruits of the yucca, come to the ground, and pupate in the soil, until the yucca bloomed the following year. Break out of the cocoon and pollinate the yucca. The two of them have such a strange relationship, they coexist and depend on each other, and are each other's only partners.
