It only exists in my country and is very precious. It is known as a living fossil. This plant is an endangered species, so if you encounter it in the wild, you must not destroy it. In addition, it has many varieties, including Dongting Emperor, Small Buddha's Hand, Duck Tail Ginkgo, Buddha Finger and so on.

2. Morphological characteristics

Ginkgo is a tree that can reach a height of about 40 meters. Its bark is gray-brown and has a relatively rough surface. Its crown is conical, with branches arranged in whorls, new branches are light brown-yellow, and old branches are gray. The leaves are fan-shaped, with very long petioles, light green in color, hairless on the surface, and turn yellow in autumn. Its cones are dioecious, with the female cones containing seeds, which usually mature in September and October.
