The dace, also known as the native dace, dace, snow dace, flower dace, etc., is a freshwater fish that often lives in water bodies with higher water temperatures in the south. It has a strong appetite when the water temperature is 15-30℃. The meat of grass carp is delicate and fresh, and it is delicious whether it is braised or stewed in soup. Below I will introduce the breeding techniques and density of grass carp, let’s take a look. 1. Pond Preparation Prepare a pond with an area of 5-8 acres and the water depth should be controlled at 1.2-1.5 meters. The sludge in the pond should not exceed 20 cm. Excessive sludge will affect the water quality and breed harmful bacteria and parasites . Therefore, excessive silt should be removed in time to keep the bottom of the pond relatively clean. 2. Release of fish fry The seedling stocking time is usually from June to October and can be divided into three stages according to the time of listing in different places. The first stage is from the end of June to the beginning of August, the second stage is from August to early September, and the third stage is from September to early October. 3. Breeding density High-density stocking can generally release about 1,000 fish per mu. Within a certain breeding area, the number of grass carp can be adjusted according to pond conditions, water quality and breeding techniques. High-density farming can increase production, but it also requires stricter water quality management and disease control. 4. Water quality management Mud carp does not require much dissolved oxygen and can adapt to more fertile water bodies. When the water temperature is between 20℃ and 28℃, even if the dissolved oxygen content is lower than 1 mg/L, dace can still feed normally. Suffocation does not occur when the dissolved oxygen level is as low as 0.24 mg/L, so high density stocking is possible. 5. Feeding management After the fry are put into the pond, soy milk is the main food in the early stage, and vegetable cakes are the supplementary food. Soy milk needs to be sprinkled about three times a day, and vegetable cakes should be added in appropriate amounts. After the fry have been cultivated for about half a month, they can be planted at the foot of the pond beach. After the fry are divided into ponds, organic fertilizers should be applied according to the quality of the geology. 6. Disease prevention and control Grass carp has good disease resistance, but is prone to bubble disease during the seedling raising period. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job in preventing bubble disease, clean the pond regularly and inject new water to keep the water clean. The above is an introduction to the breeding technology and density of dace. Dace has strong adaptability and can survive in relatively complex water environments. When breeding, the water quality must be kept clean and hygienic, and the water temperature and quality must be stable.
