Does Black Prince bloom?

When does it bloom?

Some Black Prince succulents will only grow flower arrows after growing for more than a year and a half, and the flower buds of the flower arrows will not bloom until several months later. It blooms regardless of the season, as long as the light and temperature are met, it will bloom.

Reasons for not blooming

The plant is immature: The Black Prince you bought may have just been sown. It may look like a large young plant, but it will take some time to grow before it can bloom.

Low temperature: The flowering temperature of Black Prince is above 25℃. If the temperature is not high or the overall maintenance environment is very different, it will not bloom.

Pests and diseases: The Black Prince has been attacked by pests and diseases, and is covered with wounds. It is already unable to take care of itself, and has no extra nutrients to support the growth of the flower arrows.

How to care after flowering

It is not necessary to cut off the flower arrow. You can keep it indoors for a while and observe the growth of the plant. If the plant grows normally and the flower arrow is normal, just keep the flower arrow. However, if the leaves wilt on a large scale and the plant becomes dull in color, the flower arrows should be cut off in time.

After the flower arrows are cut off, you can apply appropriate amounts of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to supplement the nutrients consumed by flowering. If the plant has sufficient nutrients, the flower arrow can grow to 40~50 cm, and red flowers will bloom on the tall branches.
