Haworthia striata blooms in late spring or early summer. The plant of Haworthia serrata is short, with no obvious above-ground stem, and its leaves are covered with white stripes, which is very cute and pleasing.

How to grow Haworthia striata when it blooms

The striped Haworthia will bloom in spring and autumn. There is no need to spray pesticides to induce flowering. It will bloom if it is maintained in a natural state.

The potting soil for cultivation should be mainly granular soil, with a small amount of peat soil and slow-release fertilizer added. It is not cold-resistant and is afraid of high temperatures, so avoid exposure to the sun. It is best not to keep the potting soil wet for a long time.

After flowering, water the plant when it is dry and water it thoroughly. It will go dormant if the temperature is below 10 degrees and the minimum temperature should not be lower than 5 degrees. After flowering, try to place it outdoors and keep it ventilated.

During the flowering period, if you find that the plant is growing weak, you can apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers or cut off the flower arrows to prevent the flowering from consuming too many nutrients and affecting the subsequent growth of the plant. However, you need to know that the Haworthia serrata will not die after flowering, but the plant will grow weak because it consumes most of the nutrients after flowering. Don't worry, just replenish nutrients in time and you will recover slowly.
