How to cultivate the tower of Akane

Light and temperature

Qianzhita likes sunshine. Because it is not cold-resistant and avoids high temperature and stuffiness, it is suitable for growing in a dry and warm environment.

The growing season of Tower of Red is spring, autumn and early summer, during which time sufficient light must be ensured.

During the high temperatures of summer, the tower of red will enter a dormant period, during which time its growth rate slows down. Because it is afraid of high temperature and stuffiness, it should be placed in a ventilated and cool place without direct sunlight for maintenance.

The temperature is low in winter and the sunshine time is short. The tower of red can withstand temperatures as low as 5 degrees when dormant in winter, but it is prone to frostbite if the temperature is too low. Therefore, you can move the Tower of Red indoors and place it in a sunny place for maintenance.

Watering

The watering of the Tower of Akane follows the general watering principle of succulents: "water thoroughly when dry."

During the growing season in spring and autumn, keep the soil in the pot moist, and water it when the soil becomes dry. The water should be thorough, at least once a week. In the hot summer, you don’t need to water too much, twice a month is enough. Water sparingly in winter to avoid frostbite.

Fertilization

During the growing season, fertilizer can be applied to the tower of red once every half a month.

Fertilizers can be decomposed thin liquid fertilizers or compound fertilizers with low nitrogen and high phosphorus and potassium. However, the amount of fertilizer applied should not be too much, and do not apply fertilizer too frequently.

soil

When planting the Tower of Red, choose sandy soil that is loose and has good drainage. You can use garden soil, coarse sand or vermiculite as the medium.
