Agave Flower LanguageThe flower language of Agave is to do anything for love. There is a poignant love story behind this flower language, but it is not as profound or educational as the story of the birth of agave. The legend of agaveAgave is native to tropical America, and its homeland is Mexico. And this legend is related to Mexico. The legend takes place before the American continent was discovered. There was a tribe in ancient Mexico City. They loved peace, but would resist foreign invasion. However, the later leader Metmok wanted to conquer other tribes by force. In his neighboring tribe, the leader of the tribe had a beautiful daughter, so Metmok sent a messenger to see the leader and asked to marry his daughter. But the chief refused, and Metmoc felt insulted, so he launched a war and conquered the tribe in one night. From that time on they became savage and warlike, and spread the flames of war everywhere, until soon all the tribes were under the rule of Metmok. One day, Metmok began to move towards the northern mountain tribe again, wanting to marry the daughter of the tribal leader. If the leader disagreed, he would start a war. And before that, he met the moon goddess. The moon goddess said: "You have done many evil things, destroyed many beautiful fields, and killed many kind people. Now you want to force a beautiful girl to be your wife. Do you know who will fall in love with such a cruel person like you?" Metmok was very upset and dazed after hearing this, and felt guilty about what he had done before. So the next day, Metmok decided never to start a war again. After negotiating with the leader of the mountain tribe, he decided not to attack them even if he was unwilling to marry his daughter to him. As a result, the chief of the tribe refused to marry his daughter to Metmok. Metmok restrained himself and vowed to mend his ways and start a new life from now on to make up for his past sins. He led his troops back to his hometown, and after his efforts, peace returned to the tribe and the leaders of other tribes eliminated their fear of him. Seven months later, Metmok was ready to propose marriage to the leader of the mountain tribe again. Metmok invited priests and wizards and performed a ceremony. At the ceremony, Metmok met the water god, who told him that his wish to reform was good, but relying on personal strength alone was not enough, and that only by following God could he do good things forever. Then, Metmoc turned into a beautiful agave. From then on, agave appeared on the plateaus of ancient Mexico. The local Indians used its juice to make wine, its fibers to weave cloth, and its branches and leaves to cover their roofs. All people desire peace and hate war, and they hate even more those who start wars in order to invade other people's homes. Just like the cruel Metmoc, although he later tried to reform, he was still turned into agave and had to be used by people forever in order to atone for his sins. |
