Three taboos for spring care of succulent plants

Avoid water shortage and control water for succulent plants in spring

Spring is actually the growing season for most succulents. Water supply is generally not required at this time, and watering can promote the growth of the plants.

Pay attention to watering at this time. Watering should be based on the weather, the size of the flowerpot and the growth needs of the plant. If the water evaporates quickly, you should water it more. If it evaporates slowly, you should water it less. Be careful not to allow water to accumulate.

Generally, ceramic pots should be watered once every 3/5 days, porcelain pots should be watered once every 7/10 days, and plastic pots should be watered once every 5/7 days.

In spring, succulents should not be exposed directly to the sun outdoors.

As the temperature rises in spring, the light gradually becomes stronger. It should be noted that succulents are mostly kept indoors in winter and have little exposure to light. In spring, the light becomes stronger. If they are suddenly exposed outdoors, they can easily get burned, which is fatal to succulents.

Note that in spring, it is generally necessary to expose it to sunlight slowly, not all at once. Basically, maintain one hour of direct sunlight every day, and the rest of the time, just expose it to scattered light. After about a month, it will be fully exposed to sunlight.

Avoid using drugs indiscriminately for succulents in spring

In spring, succulents are growing, and everyone is worried that they will suffer from some diseases and pests, so they give them some fertilizer without any hesitation. In fact, the growth of succulents is relatively fragile at this time. If you spray it with medicine, it will easily get burned on a sunny day.

Note that if you want to spray medicine, dilute it as much as possible, and it is best not to expose it to strong light after spraying.
